One of four policemen who were critically injured in a motor vehicle crash in Clarendon last month, has died.
Constable Patroy Richards, 44, died Thursday in the intensive care unit at the University Hospital.
He was attached to the Specialised Operations Unit.
The other three policemen, who are also from the same unit, remain in hospital.
About 5 o'clock on the morning of December 20, the policemen were heading to Vere to provide additional support for the festive season.
The vehicle in which they were travelling slammed into a utility pole and then into a tree on the Dawkins Pen main road in Lionel Town. Bruce Golding hospitalized
